Will my DataESIM plan remain active if I transit from Thailand or Vietnam into Laos?

DataESIM plans are provisioned for specific geographical regions. A DataESIM plan designed for Laos will function exclusively within its borders. Upon crossing into Laos from Thailand, for instance, via the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge near Vientiane, or from Vietnam, your prior country-specific DataESIM or local SIM will cease to provide service. To maintain uninterrupted high-speed data, we recommend activating your Laos-specific DataESIM plan upon arrival or considering a regional ASEAN plan if your itinerary includes multiple countries.
