DataESIM, like all standard terrestrial eSIM services, relies on connection to land-based cellular towers. Therefore, when your cruise vessel is navigating open waters, beyond the range of coastal cell infrastructure, your DataESIM service will not be active. Connectivity will resume automatically and seamlessly as soon as the ship approaches or docks at a port of call, such as Nassau or Grand Turk, where our partner networks are accessible. For at-sea connectivity, specialized satellite-based cruise Wi-Fi services are necessary.
